• 5/2/08  2009 Proposals Due on Monday, May 5th.  Proposals can be made at anytime, but to assure a vote on May 10th proposals should be turned in by the deadline.

• 3/24/08    Scholarship Applications must be postmarked by March 25th. 
• We are giving two $500.00 Scholarships this season.  One to a percussionist and one to a color guard member. 
• 3/24/08     Championship Update
• Copyright information must be turned in by each unit BEFORE they will be allowed to perform at Championships.   You can turn this information in on the day of the contest.
• Director's Lounge:  PARENTS this is where you come in.  In order to have a director's lounge we are asking our units to each bring one snack. Snacks can be turned in at check in.
• Raffle baskets can be turned in at check in as well.

•  3/15/08     CONGRATULATIONS!  Foard and Boiling Springs guards were Finalists at the Atlanta WGI Regional.  Way to go!

•  3/12/08     Scholarship Application can be found on the Resources page.  Entries must be postmarked by March 25, 2008!

• 3/12/08   Director's Hospitality is Back at Championships  To make this happen we need each unit's help.  We are asking our units to supply one snack.  Fruit, power bars, nuts, chips, crackers - be creative.  Parents, this would be a great way to help your instructors out - let them know you will take care of this and he/she can mark that off their list.  Please bring your snacks to check-in and we will direct you where to drop them off!

•  3/9/08     CONGRATULATIONS!     Several of our Percussion units were Finalists at the WGI Spartanburg Regional.  Great Job Dorman, Blue Ridge, Sullivan South, Sumter, Virginia, Boiling Springs and Carolina Force!

• 3/3/08                    Congratulations  to the Dobyns-Bennett Winter Guard for making finals at the WGI Dayton Regional!  Way to Go!
•                                   Scholarship Information will be posted shortly.  This year we are offering two $500.00 scholarships; one for winter guard members and one for percussion members. 

•  2/29/08                 Good luck to all the units competing this weekend!  Make sure you have made your lodging accomodations for Championships - there are not that many rooms left!

•  2/25/08                  CONGRATULATIONS  To the Byrnes Indigo, Byrnes JV and Volunteer Blue guards for making finals at the WGI Pensacola Regional!                             And CONGRATULATIONS To Karns HS Percussion for making finals at the WGI Richmond Regional!     Way to go!

• 2/12/08                GREAT NEWS We have added a couple new hotel for Championships - Days Inn Waynesville and the Ramada Limited in Cherokee.  The hotels are filling very quickly.  Let us know if you need any help. 

• 2/11/08             Congratulations to all the units that competed this weekend.  There were some fantastic shows! 

• 2/8/08                IMPORTANT Virginia High School Contest Information:   

• Please be aware that units will not have storage areas at King College.   Please limit the personal  items brought by your performers.

• Guard Warm Up is in a separate building from the Performance Gym.  Please be prepared to walk outside and down stairs.  Footwear is required and extra clothing is recommended.

• 2/4/08            Congratulations to Dobyns-Bennett and Tennessee High School "Maroon" Winter Guards for making finals at the Richmond, VA WGI Regional!  Way to go! 

• 1/30/08          Prep and Novice (Regional A) Instructor Meeting  1:30 PM Saturday 2/2/08 at North Lincoln.  Please make plans to attend this meeting to learn about the new judging criteria.  Please don't wait until critique to ask questions - there will not be enough time!      

•  1/30/08           Check out the CIPA Photos button on the Main Menu and take a look at the pictures from the Volunteer show. 

•  1/28/08        Please take a moment and read the Critique Participation information.  You will also find some helpful hints about attending a circuit show so your experience will be a good one!

•  1/21/08       NEWS FLASH:  The circuit just received news that on March 22nd during the Brynes show we will have a total of 6 WGI judges.  4 Guard and 2 Percussion! Registration forms can be found under the Resource button, JOIN US!

• 1/19/08         WEATHER NOTICE:   THE CIPA SHOW AT DORMAN HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO PENDING WEATHER IN SPARTANBURG.  Every unit registered is automatically qualified for Championships and will receive one participation point.  No documentation is necessary. 

• Dorman High School invites you to participate in an Exhibition show today.  The show will feature comments from some of the judges originally scheduled for the CIPA show.  Please make safe decisions for your students and parents as you make your travel plans.  We hope to see you today!    

• 1/17/08       Please take  a moment to look over the 2008 Handbook.  The Promotion Scale has been updated. 

• 1/15/08         Dorman and Volunteer schedules have been updated. Please take a moment to review the changes.

•  1/11/08        Please note these changes:  The East Rowan Qulaifier has been moved to North Lincoln High School and The Virginia High School contest will held in the King College gym.  Information will be put up on the 2008 Schedule button as more becomes available.  Many thanks to both of these schools for assisting the circuit in making the shows possible.

• 1/8/08           Percussion Potential Judges and Instructor training.  Saturday, December 19th at Dorman High School begining at 11:30.  For more information click Resources on the top menu.

•  1/7/08        Prep and Novice (Regional A) Instructor Meeting January 19th at 3:00 pm Dorman High School. It is extremely important that regional a directors attend this meeting to discuss the new sheets.  There will not be time in critique to evaluate guards and explain new sheets.
